Restaurant Chevalier in Appenweier

We were in the garden with 2 families in August 2020. We had reserved 3 days in advance. All seats in the garden area were occupied. We were served nice and courteous. The drinking and eating all came very quickly. Rump steak schnitzel salads were all delicious and fresh. The only drawback was that you can't pay with Eurocard. (Cash only). Conclusion: we would love to come back.

Friendly staff, salads were very tasty, definitely not the last time. Can be recommended 🥰 also the terrace is cozy.

Should have been open according to internet research but at 13:15 we were rejected because they should have closed. In this respect, a basic recommendation to visitors to the Black Forest: Call the local instead of trusting the Internet. Too many places have different information online, which in total is not correct. May be due to corona or a general problem.

In summer, the Chevalier is best to sit in the beautiful outdoor area. The map is clear but with tangible treats. From rump steak to sausage salad there is a little bit of everything and if you want a delicious dessert, the best thing to order is the apple rings. Delicious! The best thing is, everything is always super fast!

All was good

I was invited to a business lunch there. There was the daily menu for lunch. When we got there, there were only a few guests. But that changed quickly over time. So it seems to have a good reputation. Personally, it tasted good there, except for the salad. But since it was only a rough insight or I would like to give the 4 stars because everything seemed a bit angled to me.

Very good restaurant! Every dish is delicious and something for everyone. The cook himself asks personally! We recommend!

I highly recommend this restaurant. The steaks are delicious, I also recommend a summer salad with shrimp. The prices I would call normal. The atmosphere is family, the staff very friendly. You do not usually have to wait long for the food. On the garden terrace you can expect a very nice atmosphere. We always go back, also spontaneously.
